The Ohio State University offers both Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Aviation, with specialties in Aviation Management and Aircraft Systems. Depending on the student’s particular interest, degrees can be earned through one of three colleges: Engineering, Social & Behavioral Sciences, and Business.
The College of Engineering offers a Bachelor’s of Science in either Specialization. Their foundation is the in depth study of Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and other Engineering courses common to Engineering studies. From this Engineering foundation the Aviation courses are then taken particular to the Specializations.
The College of Social and Behavioral Studies offers a Bachelor’s of Science or a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in either Specialization. Their foundation is the in depth study of the Social, Behavioral, and Communication Sciences, common to Liberal arts studies. From this Arts and Sciences foundation the Aviation core courses are then taken particular to the Specializations.
The Fisher College of Business offers a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with the Special Major (Aviation Management). Their foundation is the in depth study of Analysis, Accounting, Finance, and other Business courses common to Business studies. From this Business foundation the Aviation core courses are then taken for the Special Major in Aviation Management. The Aircraft Systems Specialization is not offered by the Fisher College, but may be taken independently in addition to the Aviation Special Major.
