The Ohio State University Center for Aviation Studies is now accepting registrants for the 2021 Global Conference on Diversity in Aviation, Aerospace and STEM. The theme of the fourth annual conference is “Transforming Education, Industry and the Student Experience.” Held virtually and in-person at The Blackwell Inn & Pfahl Conference Center on the campus of The Ohio State University, the two-day event will be October 26-27, 2021.

The highly regarded gathering provides an opportunity for students, professionals and leaders in the aviation industry to share best practices around issues of diversity, inclusion and equity.

Conference organizer and the center’s assistant director of academics and assessment, Shannon McLoughlin Morrison, commented about the upcoming conference. “2019’s event included the participation of over 100 students and industry professionals, who learned from leading experts about a variety of topics, including safety, implicit bias, stereotypes in the workplace, how to be an ally and advocate, and much more,” she said. “2020 didn’t slow us down and we held a series of virtual professional development workshops. We are excited to host this event once again in 2021.”
